TUSKEGEE, Ala. – ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½head softball coach Dietrich Randle and freshman standout pitcher Monica Rose have been selected to participate in the prestigious 2025 Minority Softball Prospects (MSP) HBCU All-Star Game, set to take place Friday, May 30 at 6 p.m. ET at the Stick Williams Dream Fields in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The annual event, now in its third year, honors elite players and coaches from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) across the nation. It serves not only as a showcase of high-level athletic talent, but also as a celebration of leadership, impact, and excellence within the HBCU sports community.

Coach Randle, who was named SIAC Coach of the Year for the second time in three seasons, led the Golden Tigers to a 26-6 overall record in 2025, including a 20-2 mark in conference play, earning the No. 1 seed in the SIAC Softball Championship and guiding the program to one of its most successful regular seasons in school history.

Under his leadership, ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½has become a dominant force in the SIAC, with a championship pedigree and a culture of sustained excellence.

Monica Rose, one of the most dynamic young pitchers in the HBCU ranks, was recognized as both the SIAC Freshman of the Year and the SIAC Starting Pitcher of the Year following a sensational debut season.

Rose anchored the ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½pitching staff, posting a league-leading ERA while compiling numerous complete games and multiple double-digit strikeout performances. Her poise and power in the circle helped fuel the Golden Tigers' dominance throughout the season.

"We're proud to see both Coach Randle and Monica represent ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½on a national stage," said ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½Director of Athletics Reginald Ruffin. "This is a well-earned recognition of their outstanding work and the standard of excellence they continue to build within our softball program."

The MSP HBCU All-Star Game will feature top-tier athletes from HBCU programs across the country and provide a platform for players to be recognized by national media and scouts.

Coach Randle will be honored as one of the participating coaches and mentors during the event, while Rose will suit up as one of the game's featured pitchers.
