TUCVM鈥檚 DGPH thanks participants of the ADPH Career Day on September 26!

The 扣扣传媒University, College of Veterinary Medicine's (TUCVM) Department of Graduate Public Health (DGPH) attended a career day at the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) on September 26, 2023. The ADPH Career Day allowed everyone in attendance to network and meet others in the public health domain. The director or appointee for each bureau of the State of Alabama鈥檚 public health program greeted 扣扣传媒 and discussed the role and function of their bureau. TUCVM鈥檚 DGPH faculty and 扣扣传媒 made several essential networking connections during the event that will energize DGPH鈥檚 summer experience and internship opportunities for 扣扣传媒.

鈥淲e made inroads to adding to our adjunct pool and developing new grant and contract partnerships. The 扣扣传媒 also assisted in recruiting efforts by talking with UAB undergraduates about our program,鈥� said Dr. Torhonda Lee, Department Head of the Graduate Public Health Program at TUCVM.

鈥淭he event was inspiring to see such a diverse workforce, including several minority women in leadership roles. It was also a humbling experience where many professionals expressed that they are looking to 扣扣传媒 such as ours to step up to leadership roles in the profession as many prepare to soon enter the retirement stage.
